Mama — Pregnancy & Vaccination Tracker · Last updated: 8 October 2026

Mama requires no account and sends nothing you enter anywhere. Everything you type stays on your own phone. The app contains no ads. It includes a 30-day free trial, followed by a one-time Google Play purchase to continue. On Android it uses a Meta tool only to measure our own ads for the app — see "Ad measurement" below; you can switch it off.

What the app stores

Stored in the app's private storage on your device only:

• Last menstrual period date, or expected due date
• Child's date of birth and name, if entered
• Vaccination doses you marked as given
• Weight, height and head-circumference measurements you enter
• The baby's daily log you record: feeds, sleep and nappies
• The birth-bag checklist, and the questions you write for antenatal visits
• Preferences: theme, reminders, country
• The free-trial start date and a flag that you bought "Mama Full", if you did

This data never leaves the device. We do not see it, and there is no server holding it.

If you add the Mama home-screen widget on Android, it shows some of this same data — the pregnancy week, or the next vaccination and the time of the last feed — on your own screen only. When you share an image (the vaccination record or the pregnancy week), it is created on the phone and goes only where you send it.

Network use

The app works fully offline. It connects to download content updates (week-by-week content and the vaccination schedule) from a public file on raw.githubusercontent.com and cdn.jsdelivr.net, at most once every six hours. That request carries nothing about you. As with any internet request, your IP address is visible to those servers as a function of how networking works; we neither use nor have access to it.

The app also talks to the Google Play app on your phone, to show the price of "Mama Full" and to learn whether you bought it. That exchange is between the app and Google Play and passes through no server of ours.

The app may occasionally show the store's own rating sheet (at most three times). The sheet is provided by the store; the app does not learn whether or what you rated.

Ad measurement (Meta)

We advertise Mama on Facebook and Instagram. To learn which ad led to an install, the Android app includes the Meta SDK (Meta Platforms). It automatically tells Meta that the app was installed or opened, and about the "Mama Full" purchase if one happens, together with device information (such as model and OS version), your IP address and your device's advertising ID.

Nothing about a pregnancy or a child is sent to Meta: no dates, vaccinations, measurements, daily log or names. The app logs no events of its own and does not link what is sent to your identity.

You can switch this off at any time in Settings → قياس الإعلانات (Ad measurement), and you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Google settings. Meta handles this data under its own privacy policy. This tool is not active on iPhone at present.

Permissions

• Notifications — vaccination and appointment reminders. Entirely optional.
• Receive boot completed — to re-register scheduled reminders after a restart, since Android clears them.
• Advertising ID and Android ad attribution — to measure our own ads for the app through Meta (see "Ad measurement"); can be switched off in settings. The app does not request Android's Topics or Custom Audience APIs.

No camera, location, contacts, broad photo/file access or microphone permission is requested. When restoring, you explicitly choose the backup file through the system file picker.

Reminders

All reminders are local: scheduled and shown by your own phone. No notification passes through any server.

Children

The app is intended for adult parents. Child-related data (date of birth, vaccinations, measurements) is entered by the parent, stays on the device, and is not transmitted.

Local backup

Settings can export a file containing pregnancy, child, vaccination and measurement data and restore it later. The file is created locally and is not uploaded to our server; you choose where to save it or which app to share it with. After export, you are responsible for keeping it secure.

Deleting your data

Settings → Delete my data erases everything from the phone. Uninstalling the app also removes all of its data. We hold no copy, so there is nothing to request from us.

Free trial and purchase

The app contains no ads. The first launch starts a 30-day free trial and the app clearly displays the time remaining. After the trial, one purchase of "Mama Full" is required to continue. There is no subscription or automatic renewal.

• Payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your card number or payment method; payment data is governed by Google's privacy policy.
• The app keeps the trial start date and a local ownership flag, and asks Google Play for the purchase record. The purchase belongs to the Google account you used and can be restored on a new phone from Settings.
• No pregnancy or child data is sent to Google Play with the purchase.

Mama is not a medical device and is not intended for medical purposes. Content is for tracking, reminding and awareness only, does not replace a doctor, and provides no diagnosis, no medicines and no dosages. Egypt's vaccination schedule comes from the National Immunization Programme — Ministry of Health and Population; Saudi Arabia's from the National Immunization Schedule of the Saudi Ministry of Health.
